The Nutrition Compass Process

PERSONALISED          EVIDENCE-BASED         BUILT FOR LASTING CHANGE

Every person has a unique story and a different starting point. My approach follows a clear structure designed to create lasting change at a pace that feels achievable. It blends clinical science with practical, everyday strategies that fit real life.

Readiness and assessment

Lasting change begins with understanding where you are and what has brought you here. We look at your health, lifestyle, and your goals. We also explore what has worked in the past, what has not, and the barriers that may have made it hard for you to sustain progress or which may have contributed to any previous weight regain. Evidence shows that change is more likely to last when you feel ready, have the support you need, and work within a process that fits your life.

Foundations for change

In the first few weeks, the focus is on creating stability. We start by helping you find a rhythm that feels natural for your body and fits with your life. We focus on getting used to eating three satisfying meals a day, with enough of the right nutrients to keep you full, and provide  steady energy. You learn to notice when you are truly hungry or comfortably full, and to build simple routines around food, movement, sleep, and stress. Once these foundations feel steady, we move forward gradually, building confidence and lasting habits.

Step by step progress

Change takes hold one step at a time. Once your foundations are in place, we start introducing new habits gradually, each one chosen to fit your goals, lifestyle, and readiness. We make small adjustments to food, movement, and daily routines so they feel manageable and become part of normal life. As your confidence grows, we build on progress rather than chasing perfection.

Creating long-term success

Lasting change takes time and continued support. Once your new routines feel natural, we focus on helping you maintain them through changing seasons and life's ups and downs. Together we monitor your nutrition, movement, sleep, and well-being, making small adjustments as needed. Many people choose to stay in touch for 6–12 months or longer, allowing habits to settle fully and confidence to build. The aim is independence with support there when you need it.
